Te Kokomiko's Willy Wild's Adalida

In the summer of 1998 we decided that we wanted a second miniature mare. Barb decided right off that she wanted a flashy black & white pinto, so we start searching for breeders in New England that had one for sale. We traveled all over the region and met a lot of nice mini owners that summer :o) It was a difficult decision but we finally decided that Adalida at Te Kokomiko Miniature Farm in Connecticut was the mare for us!

Born May 3rd, 1995 out of Rehs Stormy Gem Supreme

and sired by Whites Willy Wild

"Lida" was the sweetest of all the horses we looked at and moved really nice! As a nice bonus, she was also trained to drive :o)

In June of 2001 Adalida had her first foal. A little red bay colt, sired by our stallion, Rocky Hill's Rich N Famous, that we named Crimson N Clover and called Sonny

Sonny has since moved to his new home in Maine. We had planned to give Lida until next spring before breeding her again, but we were offered the use of a gorgeous little jet black stallion named Johnny Cash owned by Sunny Hill Farm. As Johnny was retiring soon we couldn't pass up the chance :o)
At a little past 10pm on
July 13th, 2002 Lida gave birth to her second foal.
The birth was so quick and easy that we couldn't resist naming her and Johnny
Cash's new colt, Ross's "In A Flash" :o)

On May 1st of 2004, a few
hours after the Kentucky Derby, Lida gave birth to her third son, a black colt
with appaloosa characteristics, sired by Sulphuras Apache Eclipse.
We named him Smarty Jones after the derby winner.

And once again, a few hours
after the running of the Kentucky Derby on May 6th of 2006,
Adalida gave birth to a little chestnut pinto colt sired by
Rocky Hill's Rich-N-Famous.
